The Chevrolet Tahoe appears to be nearing the end of its current lifecycle and may see a redesign either for 2020 or 2021. Unfortunately, no official information has been released as of this writing.

According to Automotive News, spy shots of the next-generation Tahoe suggest GM may add an independent rear suspension to better compete in its segment by improving ride quality.

Fleet ordering guides list a production start date in mid-June of 2019. At the moment, we estimate a release date to land sometime in late July or early August.

Like all fifth-generation units of the Chevrolet Tahoe, the 2020 Tahoe will ride on the GM T1 platform shared with the 2020 Chevrolet Suburban, GMC Yukon, GMC Yukon XL, as well as the Cadillac Escalade and Cadillac Escalade ESV. The same basic architecture was introduced by the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado and 2019 GMC Sierra.

Notable competitors include the Ford Expedition, Nissan Armada and GMC Yukon.
